The 2025 Audi S and RS e-tron GT Performance are luxury electric sports sedans twinned with the Porsche Taycan, with which they share most of their hardware and their J1 platform. The S puts out 670 horsepower and accelerates to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, but the RS Performance ups the stakes to 912 hp in launch mode – good enough for a blistering 0-60 of 2.4 seconds, making it the quickest Audi ever.
A new 105-kWh battery provides a maximum range of 300 miles and can be fast-charged at up to 320 kW. The e-tron GT is for EV buyers who want to combine Audi’s take on a comfortable 4-door grand tourer with supercar acceleration.
The 2025 e-tron GT gets its biggest update since its 2022 launch. The base trim is now called the S e-tron GT and receives a power boost from 522 to 670 hp, while the RS e-tron GT Performance leaps from last year’s 637 hp to 912 hp. Both receive a new 105-kW battery with a 97-kWh usable capacity, boosting range by around 20% and accepting DC fast charging at up to 320 kW, which means you can charge it from 10-80% in 18 minutes.
The RS gets a trim-exclusive Push-to-Pass button. There are cosmetic changes too, with a new grille panel, fresh wheel designs, and additional available paint colors. The 2025 Audi S e-tron GT’s price starts at $125,500.
The e-tron GT has a drag coefficient of only 0.24, and to many eyes, the wide and sleek Audi is prettier than its Taycan cousin, with the styling refresh bringing more aggressive front vents. There are Quattro blisters over the wheels, which measure 20 inches on both trims, but with various 21-inch designs on offer. The roofline tapers down gently into a ducktail spoiler, which is electrically deployable on the RS.
In the cockpit, there’s a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, with a 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen in the center stack, angled toward the driver. System features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, and a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system.
The S comes with tri-zone climate control, Dinamica upholstery, and heated sports front seats, while the RS adds mode/boost steering-wheel buttons, Nappa leather, and RS-specific graphics on the digital displays. Rear seating is snug, but accommodates two adults comfortably, though the trunk is small at only 9.2 cu-ft. There is a front frunk too, worth 1.8 cu-ft, for a total of 11 cu-ft.

Pros:
Cons:
The 2025 S and RS e-tron GT represent a significant leap forward, with dramatically more power and performance, as well as the ability to crack the 300-mile EV range barrier for the first time. Although this is still way short of some rivals that achieve over 500 miles, and remains the Audi’s biggest weakness, the 320-kW charging capability still makes road trips practical.
The RS Performance is truly ballistic, though, with 912 hp and a 2.4-second sprint to 60 mph, making it one of the quickest sedans on the planet without sacrificing comfort. The e-tron GT offers more luxury than the Taycan and more driver engagement than the Lucid Air. For buyers wanting the quickest and most refined Audi ever, this is it.
